On the exterior, this unique collection of songs relishes in the pain and heartache following the dissipation of a romantic relationship. Dive even deeper, and this record reveals itself as an ode to birth and death; the beginning and end of things once so seemingly everlasting. Following themes of facade, cyclical rebirth, and detrimental fantasy, "In My Room", transforms great tragedy into something beautiful.

This record was entirely self written, recorded, produced and mixed, with the majority of the writing done in the safety and comfort of the artist's bedroom at the time. During the writing process, countless hardships transpired, all inevitably leading up to an unexpected house fire causing the destruction of the very bedroom these songs were written in. While very little was recovered from the fire, miraculously, these songs were saved from a damaged hard drive.

It only seems fitting that this collection be brought to life, coming full circle, shedding light on the intricate concept of birth and death, understanding and vulnerability.
